3di open a new office in Guadalajara, Mexico

We are pleased to announce that we have officially opened a new office in Guadalajara, Mexico. This will be an addition to our offices in Woking, Krakow and Edinburgh.

So why have we opened an office in Mexico? Firstly, with our growing US and Canadian customer base, we want to have an office that is in the same time zone as our north American clients, so we can offer the same level of support as we do our European customers. Secondly, Guadalajara is a growing city, attracting many technology companies and hosting some well-established and highly-rated universities, making it fertile ground for recruiting technical writers, translators and localization engineers. Thirdly, our Service Delivery Director, George Lewis, has been looking for an excuse to practise his Spanish, so has moved to Guadalajara to help establish our new office.

Speaking about his move and our new office, George said ‘It has been great to see our customer base in the Americas growing; but that success has brought its own challenges of providing those customers with the quality of service our customers expect from 3di.

Guadalajara attracts people and companies from Mexico and internationally because of its thriving technology scene with many technology companies, universities and higher education institutions.

This mix of talent, a well-established cluster of IT companies, and regional connectivity provides the perfect hub for 3di to deliver the quality of service our customers expect, and to find the talent we need to deliver that service.

Paul Ballard, Managing Director of 3di Information Solution, has commented on the new office, stating “The last couple of years have been an exciting period of growth for 3di, and new US and Canadian customers have made a significant contribution to that growth. We’d like to make ourselves easier to contact and liaise with for those customers, and time-zone overlaps between our operational and customer teams will help with this in the years ahead. As we extend our Americas customer base, we’ll build up our team in Mexico.’
