From 2023 to present
What did we do?
Improved administrator-facing documentation.
What did they say?
“3di’s assistance was crucial, enabling us to build comprehensive documentation without having to recruit or develop internal documentation processes. A big thank you to the entire 3di team — which, to be honest, didn’t feel like outsourcing at all, but more like an extension of our core team.“

What was the context for 3di helping Infomir?
Infomir offer MinistraPro, a streaming media management platform designed to help media providers (operators) manage their streaming content including IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) , VOD (Video on Demand), and internet radio projects. The MinistraPro solution includes a whitelabel, consumer-facing portal which allows subscribers to access their media streams including live TV, movies, radio, and program guides.
The primary interface for operators is the admin portal which allows the operator to associate digital media streams with channels, and to group channels to create media packages. The admin portal is also used to manage subscriber accounts which are linked to the media packages.
Infomir already had operators using an older platform, Ministra. They needed to assist those operators in upgrading to their new MinistraPro platform. The documentation needed to clearly identify configuration and features which differed between the two platforms. Infomir needed to provide new operators with comprehensive instructions on how to set up, configure, and use the admin portal. The documentation would be available on the internet and any page might be viewed by potential new users, so every page needed to provide context to orientate a user who might not be familiar with the platform.
The challenges Infomir faced
- The documentation would be hosted on the public internet, so the instructions needed to be accessible to a wide audience. The pages would likely be accessed through a general internet search rather than browsed, therefore all of the information relevant to a part of the UI needed to be accessible on a single page.
- The documentation was being written alongside a rapidly evolving product.
- Being very similar to their existing product, Ministra, MinistraPro need documentation to highlight wherever the MinistraPro product did not have feature parity.
