Matt is a Graduate Technical Author at 3di. Matt is a very technically minded person and enjoys finding out how complex products and processes work, and then conveying this information as efficiently as possible.

Before joining 3di, Matt was a teaching technician in the physics department at Heriot-Watt University. Before that, he spent 5 years as a research laboratory technician at the University of Nottingham, researching Microwave Process Engineering, with applications in sectors such as mining, energy, and the production of advanced materials.

Matt has recently completed his Diploma in technical writing from ESTON training.

When Matt isn’t busy sleeping, eating or authoring, he can be found cycling, and often competes in amateur races. Matt can also be found tinkering with his bikes and it was the use of motorbike and cycling internet forums where he first caught the bug for technical communication.
