Matt is a Senior Technical Author at 3di and has worked with us for about 5 years. During this time, Matt has contributed to around 30 projects across multiple industries, including medical devices, scientific instruments, and software.

Before joining 3di, Matt was a teaching technician in the physics department at Heriot-Watt University. Before that, he spent 5 years as a research laboratory technician at the University of Nottingham, researching Microwave Process Engineering, with applications in sectors such as mining, energy, and the production of advanced materials.

When Matt isn’t busy sleeping, eating or authoring, he can be found cycling, and often competes in amateur races. Matt can also be found tinkering with his bikes and it was the use of motorbike and cycling internet forums where he first caught the bug for technical communication.
